Review of City-As Talent Show
The talent show was a really nerve wracking moment for me because it was the first time I had performed since 7th grade on an actual stage so I was pretty terrified. It was also my first time ever performing my own writing so that was a different kind of nervous feeling while getting up on stage to perform. Well my only cycle here in 2017 was really a gateway to me starting up writing again since I hadn't in a long time and it really just helped me open myself up to writing down my feelings and making them into something. The highlights were when I started to realize that I could write a song and actually like it and I’m really excited to see that feeling grow. My three musical goals for 2018 are to write more and really write about something that's close to me and a song that I really like and don't get that sick of. The rehearsals we had as separate groups and then all together was amazing. I got to hear new music from kids who I’ve never really met but I felt a connection to and it really felt like something amazing.
